Suzdal is in the Golden Ring, a series of towns that were part of Rus and all seperate Khanate's till they were taken over by Moscow. This is where the rich and famous used to come to play and of course everyone had to have their own church. This is a small sleepy backwater but there are about 30 churches here. It was a great train trip. We got on at 10pm and arrived at 7am so everyone slept pretty much all the way. When I arrived in Nizhney I was gonna walk to the Kremlin. I couldnt make any sense of the map in the LP and walked aimlessly for a while. A woman in a tram pulled up and gave me a hoy.
