Watch out I'm coming
What a great time!
3 days sailing on a yacht on the whitsunday islands in perfect weather was definatly the highlight of my trip, and a fitting end also. I got an extremely cheap last minute deal on the best yacht a backpacker could hope for, the `Matador`. Built for 28 million us dollars it never lost a race before being retired.
Day 1 really just consisted of motoring (no wind) out to withaven beach, one of the top 10 beaches i the world. played some footy and rugby and drank beer; ideal.
Day 2 was pretty much about diving, while i was disqualified from scuba diving due to a throat infection (that`ll teach me), could still see pretty much everything snorkelling. And so i did. The reef was cool, lots of fish and coral.
Day 3 Firstly, consisted of ripping the pi** out of the american and irish guys who were sick in the cabin, everywhere! couldnt handle their drink. what was more funny however is that the yankee managed to get it in not one, but both of the snotty canadian`s bags! awesome!
After that is was sailing back to Airlie beach. That may sound simple enough but those things don`t sail themselves. you wanna try hauling a sail up while the boats at a 60 degree angle.
That night, back on shore, all the backpackers were heading off straight away so i thought it was gona be a pretty quiet night, but no! went out with some of the crew and it turned out to be the most drunk i got in OZ. ever heard of a yegerbomb?
Anyhow, thats enough of my incessant semi-coherent yet masterful rambling. Any mistakes i grammar i blame on the fact that i have no letters on my keyboard, only japanese symbols.
