Left the party island of phangnan on the 19th to come north to Koh Tao. Straight away, started our advanced diving course today with two dives practicing buoyancy and then navigation. Amazing! Gonna treat my self to a really nice mask seeing as I really will carry this on for life! Tomorrow we are doing wreck diving, deep diving (30m), search and rescue and then a night dive!! So excited for tomorrow! Then we might look into some extra dives to places we haven't ...

Finally on the islands and loving it. Got here after a fair trek of over night trains, buses, boats and taxis. Our hut is really nice which is great. Hammock, air con, fridge for our drinking water etc etc! The night life here is great fun, best I've experienced ever which is amazing. Met up with a few season friends last night which was great. We've rented mopeds or two days to get round the island. Literally they are so much fun!! Don't worry mum, we are wearin...

Wow. Got back from the jungle yesterday and it was so different to what i expected. It was so much harder than what we all thought with more walking and the humidity being even worse than in the city!! On the first day we left Chiang Mai and went straight to an elephant reserve for a trek with them. I had my own elephant because of odd numbers and got to sit on it's neck instead of the little seat they have. That was great fun but i think we all had mixed feelin...

Finally here after a stupidly long journey. Hostel is very nice (life saver that it's got air con!!). Been really nice looking round the city of Bangkok. Still struggling to understand the difference in price, it's so cheap out here! Got a tuk tuk (three wheeled taxi thingy) to the different temples, and ive gotta say it, even though it's a third world country, they can make buildings a hell of a lot better than we can.
