Rome Colosseum
The Colosseum or Flavian Amphitheater is the largest of its type in the world and covers an area of 6 acres and was built between 70 & 80 BC by the Flavian dynasty of Roman Emperors. It is elliptical in design and consisted of inner and outer walls with around 80 entry/exit points to enable the estimated 50 to 80 thousand spectators to enter and leave the theatre quickly much like the modern day stadiums.
