The very small port of Katakalon where the shops only open when cruise ships come to the port. Only around 800 people live in the area and it is super quiet before the cruise ships arrive but when they do the area comes alive with all shops open plus cafe's restaurants etc. it is a lovely little spot with clear water and a relaxed atmosphere and shopping fever. The day we were here there were 4 cruise ships in making the influx of people around 8-9 thousand and it was packed but I imagine the next day there may be no one about so must be hard for the locals to put up with but that is the way all Mediterranean port areas are.
