Villefranche is a lovely coastal town only a few kilometres from Nice. The beaches are sandy and it has a lovely relaxed small town atmosphere. The cafes and restaurants come right down to the waters edge with their tables set up on the path along the bay but the business just across the road. It is odd to see the waiters negotiating their way across the busy road with trays of food and drinks but we think the patrons appreciate the service.
