The Eglise du Dome built in 1706
The dome covers a large area attached to the Invalides hospital and museum and is a truly beautiful piece of architecture which compliments the whole building structure. The dome contains Napoleon’s tomb as well as other heroes of France. The interior of the building is spectacular with inlaid stone floors, ceiling frescos, wide staircases and large ornate windows. There is also a highly decorative altar with much gold and polished stonework of lavish proportions.
