You know you are in Paris as the tower can be seen from nearly everywhere. The tower is absolutely massive and was built as the entrance to the worlds fair in 1889. Originally only temporary but there was a huge uproar by the French people when it was advised it was to be removed after the fair. One hundred plus years on on it is still a marvelous structure adored by all who see it and those who wish they could see it.
