There are numerous covered walkways around the gardens with vines laden with different varieties of grapes all around the vegetable gardens. These walkways are raised above the vegetables to give shelter and also to give them full sun. Behind the grapes are tree groves and high stone walls to give the whole garden shelter from the elements.
