The Holocaust Memorial was built to commemorate the deaths of over 6 million Jews throughout the period of World War 2. It is a sombre place to visit and very stark being built from concrete blocks of differing heights assembled over an undulating field of paving and sealed area. The field is made as though it is waves in an ocean and you can walk right through this field going up and down on the waves. A museum is part of the site but unfortunately it was closed when we visited the area.
