The Gate used to be on the edge of the old city but the city has continued to grow over the years and now it is a feature of a public plaza in the city. It is a very beautiful structure and has been restored over the years due to damage during WW2. You cannot go to Berlin without visiting or walking through the arches of the gateway, a real pleasure for us to pass through this icon.
