Arriving in Paris via another stupidly early Eurostar train taxied back to Theo's grandmas incredible house in St Cloud apparently the closest houses to Paris. We spent the day napping while thinking about what to do for the next week or so and decided on a couple of different things to do after a much needed nap. Theo cooked us some typical French food pizza and cordon blues which is turkey breast with ham and cheese stuffed inside fried. s*** was so cash! We basically lived off them for the next week while trying to avoid nannies constant offering of the most disgusting smelling array of cheese ever.
Spending the night with Raph one of Theo's friends on the roof sinking beers talking s***. We were up semi early the next day to explore this amazing city with the help of the worst tour guide ever theo. crossing icons off the list like it was no ones business the next few days went in a blur of tourist, food, tourist, drink, tourist, shop, sleep.... Repeat. Eiffel Tower, arc de triomphe, galleries la Fayette, champs de leysee, grand palace, not so grand palace and more were all ticked off the list and ending in a rather risky bicycle ride down the champs de lyssee with Tommy Sloot a friend of ours from Sydney Paris was completed and ticked off the list of things to do.
A 4am wake up call greeted us on the final day to catch a flight from Paris to Warsaw which we have decided is the most depressing country in the world where no one smiles Smoe described it perfectly when he said everyone you smile at looks like they want to gas you! We got to Athens to discover we were staying in the most incredible hotel where the view from one of the windows looked out over the ocean. Spending the afternoon by the pool and in the ocean we thought we had finally made it to paradise were we in for a shock. Another 5am wake up to get a 740am ferry from port Rafina in Athens to Mikonos. From about an hour after we arrived in Mikonos I fell in love with everything the views the beach, the people the food everything was so perfect it was just incredible. It probably helps the hostel is right of the water with the pool looking over it with a bar with table service so we don't even need to et up to get another drink and all for 25 euros a night life ain't that bad altough the accomodation is lacking a little to the point where i have to share a double bed with Theo. Days were spent relaxing by the pool in the most perfect weather not w single cloud in the sky on any day we were there. As for sight seeing around Mikonos it sort of extended to going into town and walking around and that's it. The second last day we were here we hired scooters for the day only 20 euros and decided to just get lost on the island which was incredible this island is actually paradise. The night life is incredible as well saw Bingo Players one night at paradise beach which we thought was an amazing night club but we were in for a shock when we decided to go to Calvin Harris the night after at Cavo. A nightclub perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean as well as paradise beach it was gorgeous and the music was insane too albeit expensive. 12 euros for a drink good thing we pre drank. Waking up the next morning thinking we were checking out we arrived at reception to find out we weren't actually checking out till the day after #eurofailnumber30ish. But hey another day in paradise who can complain.
P.s. after 5 days of perfect weather and tanning were brown like proper Aussies should be its nice having a real summer.
