After spending the day at the Grand Canyon, we braved the cold and the high altitude to go to the local diner where we suffered yet more crappy food! So far the only decent meal we've had is a subway sandwich!

Today it was Allan's birthday! We drove from Scottsdale to flagstaff via beautiful Sedona where we had a terrible Mexican meal followed by a great ride in a horse drawn carriage, the horse was from England and called gentleman! He took tourists round as a side line, his main job being in law enforcement!

Today, we travelled through the desert, the mountains and a time zone! All in order to get from San Diego to Scottsdale, real cowboy country.

Having arrived in cowboy country we set off for dinner and dancing at Rustlers where you enter the dining room via a slide! Dinner was fab but only Diane and Debbie were brave enough to have a go at line dancing!

Stayed at the Sheraton in San Diego, lovely hotel, again with comfy beds in the Mission District. Went on a tour of San Diego including the beach, waterfront, old town and the gaslamp district, a delightful place with the best weather.
