Off from Kipipeo Beach outside of Dar es Saalam

January 13 - I arrived at the Dar airport early because my flight had been altered - I was late to the Kigali airport and even my luggage arrived - yeah!

The only unpleasant experience was my trip from the airport to the Kipipeo Beach Hotel far outside of Dar. The driver agreed on a price of $50 US then changed it once on our way because he took the 'long way around' to avoid the ferry. He kept saying 'you bootifu…Canada' and went on and on. Then he tried to put his creepy hand on my leg which I removed with a 'no touchy' order. Rest of trip was a drag. However, I arrived in one piece, no harm done, and checked in. It really is a 'beach' hotel with sand paths basically everywhere - didn't pay much so what can you expect. The room was kind of neat, (see picture). Unfortunately the next day - I had to spend 3 hours repacking and rearranging my stuff for the 11 days. It all worked out well in the end.
