considering when it was built and what it was built out of..7th century by Songtsan Gampo and expanded in 17th century by the 5th Dalai Lama. The 5th Dalai Lama was pwerful, had a very trained army of monks and in fact defeated China in a war and occupied Sechuan and Quingxa provinces. Then there was a trealy so borders went back to the way they were to stop the fighting. Now the Chinese say they always had authority over Tibet which is simply false.
