We spent the day in Savannah with my best friend Cindy from 7th & 8th grade. I have not seen her since 1970 when my family moved from Phenix City, Al to St. Pete. Cindy's husband Glen drove us around the city and we walked through an old cemetery and many of the squares downtown including the square where the famous bench scene from the movie "Forest Gump" was filmed. We had lunch at Paula Dean's restaurant and then walked off the big meal on the Savannah River Walk. Later in the day we went out to Tybee Island where the movie "The Last Song" was filmed. It was great catching up with an old friend and touring Savannah. See pics in the Savannah photo album.
