Landed in Carcassone on 24th June - Town enclosed in Medievil fort. Drove along coast throught Sete to Aigues Mortes - another Medievil Fort where we stayed inside the village and had dinner in open air restaurant.

25th June drove to Nime and stopped at Les Arena - like the Collesium - where bull fights are played out - very impressive building. In car again and off to the Pont Du Gard (one of my favourites) It is a huge Roman aquitduct that we could walk across and jimmy, michael and myself had a swim then a picnic lunch on the river bank. Drove through Avignon towards Cote d Azur region.
