Arrived in Santiago this afternoon. we are planning the next week. we catch the ferry in puerto montt on the 8th. tomorrow we are going to talca and las siete tazas. weather is warm and sunny. a great change from western washington.

I arrived back in the states nov 19th. It was very sad to leave sudan. I made some amazing friends. The remainder of our time there was spent doing clinics. We did a total of 8 days of clinic in five different locations and evaluated 1800 patients. Needless to say we were exhausted. Our team was exceptional and worked very well together. We left Kampala this morning and took a twin engine plane up to Arua. The Ugandian landscape was amazing and we got to see the nile from the air. We met our Sudan host, David, and our driver Dante. It took two full days of travel to get to Uganda. It was brutal. We were all pretty tired by the time we got to kampala. We stayed at a christian guesthouse in a subarb of kampala called Segakua. Today we went to an orphanage in kampala and set up a clinic in the alley. Interesting. We saw a couple hundred children who were mostly HIV positive. Everything is ready to go. I'm just hanging out until tomorrow. I fly out of seattle at 13:40. From here to chicago-london-nairobi-entebee. We will then be in kampala, uganda for a day getting our visas and logistics squared away. From kampala we take a small plane up to arua in northern uganda. Then we pack all our supplies in some sort of vehicles and drive across the border into sudan to our destination. Then the real work will begin.......
