I'd already arranged with Ivonne that I'd practice my application today, and she can go Monday. She had to release her foam latex from the mould so I set up whilst waiting for her. I spent the morning attaching the piece and trying to ensure the edges blended off nicely. There were a few rough edges to start with but I managed to clean up most of these before adding any colour. Turned out my second foam rubber run first thing, and it came out better than yesterday's. Slightly off in colour, and it was a bit dirty, but I gave it a good rinse and it will be fine to use. Now that I have my practice piece, and a piece for my final next week, I didn't need to run another one. Opened up my mould this morning, and was pretty pleased with the way it turned out. It wasn't great, but this is the first time I've ever done it so was happy. After looking at these results, and working what I could do to improve on it, I had to mix up another batch and hope this'll come out better. I'll find out tomorrow.
