After two weeks away in Washington DC and Virginia I've been catching up on your postings. Really appreciated what you had to say about Buchenwald Concentration Camp. I also appreciate your comments on the weather. We had a similar experience back east--it was 99 and very humid the day we tourned Mr. Vernon--can't imagine trying to bike in that heat, walking was bad enough. I swear I'll never complain about Seattle's weather again. Hope you hang in there.

I'm praying for cool breezes and a nice drop in temps for you ( and all those suffering in the heat in Germany. ) I (like your mom) was raised in the heat without Airconditioning and a single fan for 7 of us....., i'm thankful every day for the blessings of Air conditioning. I can't imagine riding a bicycle in this, we are thinking of entering you in the next survivor or tour de France next year. LOL Glad your back posting ! Andi

OK....NOW THAT WE ARE ALL HOOKED ON READING YOUR REAL LIFE ADVENTURES......where in the world is our fix? Life is not so breath takingly exciting here in Kansas and we are looking forward to an update. July is hot , dry, and slow here in the heartland. The Texans are taking our much needed rain and won't give us any. Bill and Grandma Shirley are coming over for her Birthday dinner on Saturday, he said he's a bit ''stir crazy'' being unable to drive until he is healed up. We got Grammy a huge container of individually wrapped chocolate mint patties. (that should keep her busy for a while)LOL . Vacation Bible school is in swing now and it should be a fun program on Sunday.(Brooklyn is on stage, ya know? ) Keep on Keeping on and have a thueringer with plenty of senf on it for me. Love, Andi

DOOOAAAA!!!!!!!! on the photos! man that totally sucks! not to bring that up first thing , but of all things! GGGRRRRRR!
ok - so now that is over and i guess like anything you have to just move on and not get to upset about what you can't do anything about. i hope you find some CDs - or someplace that you can just upload them and store them on a cd - i know places around here have that , i don't know about there - where they don't allow ice cream in a church! what is that about - is everyone walking around with a cone and 3 dips or something??? that is really funny and something to just laugh at when you need a quick laugh!
so i am a little nervous -- after looking at some of the pictures .....i can't help but wonder if you aren't planning on someday --- you know....( living there ) espically after looking at the peaceful apartment life. looks very tempting!
i hope everything esle is going well .......excited to hear what comes up next.

hey there ...
FUN journal reading! you always write so smoothe that it is easy to imagine being there.
gus got the stuff for his birthday !!! he was very excited - i let him go ahead and have it now - he carries the whistle around in his underpants like he is going to have a showdown with it or something.
i was trying to get some of the pictures moved over so i can print them , i sort of have it - but i am not sure how big i will be able to get them. maybe no larger than 3x5 , but we will see.
hope you stay having fun and truely enjoying yourself and sucking up the moments there.
