This morning I was leaving Iceland after my weekend in Reykjavik. Despite the rain I had really enjoyed it and can see myself coming back. The final stop for today was to the Thingvellir National Park. As we were driving all day we had seen lots of sheep, cows, or horses grazing. It was hard to photograph with my new camera which doesn't take moving objects well.The national park is where the North American and European tectonic plates meet. The next part of the tour and most exciting part was to a visit to the Geysir Field. This was discovered about a century ago when a giant geysir suddenly erupted. Next stop was the Gullfuss (Golden Waterfall). The rain was coming down heavy but that wouldn't have made any difference with all the mist from the falls.There are three levels to the falls and they are quite majestic.
