The school term ended July 15th so the last two weeks of July is summer camp. As my contract is up for renewal August and I have chosen to renew, in addition to my 8 summer vacation days, I get an additional 10 days for renewing. Add to this the August 15 public holiday I now have 19 vacation days. This is shocking considering there is NO RAIN in Daegu!!Seoul has been getting hammered by massive storms since the end of June so the ground is completely saturated. The rain path comes from the China Sea into the central korean peninsula (Seoul), then into North Korea, so Daegu in the south only gets passing drizzle at best. We are lucky! Saturday went to another free museum, right downtown where I always hang out, that I had no idea about. The Daegu Modern History Museum is a 3 story brick building with no windows, so its easy to confuse it with a power utility building hiding lots of machinery.
