This was the final weekend of the Toronto Pan Am games and I was looking forward to some of the free events taking place in my neighbourhood. There were three events taking place. Friday before the final weekend of the Toronto Pan Am games I went by City Hall Nathan Phillips Square to see some of the events going on. Designed in the 1960s this is a bland concrete lovers paradise.The two curved towers face a large paved plaza. There is a rectangular pond which becomes a skating rink in winter. This weekend was the start of the Pan Am Games which Toronto is fortunate to be the host city for this year. The Pan Am Games are the same as the Olympics but only for the Americas. Last two stops on the weekend Doors Open event was the Railway Museum and Shaver Homestead. The Railway Museum was in an industrial unit by Weston Rd and Highway 401 so a bit hard to find.It was quite small and hard to navigate the alleys with so many people.
