Now, we find ourselves in Koh Tao, a little island in the gulf of Thailand in the middle of the ocean! We've agreed, its probably the best island we've been to so far as you can relax if u want, but if you want to party theres always things going on later at night on the beach. We met up with a South African chap called Mial who we got on with really well. His line for the ladies when introducing himself is, 'Hi, my names mial as in mile long'. I found that quite amusing! Ant and Mial were doing dive courses while i was just chilling out doing my own thing. I decided to hire out a trials bike and razz round the island just to explore it a bit. All the roads are mainly off road, very steep and really bumpy so it was an interesting experience. Had lots of fun burning round the back roads on the island discovering little coves and beaches. At night we mainly stayed in the bar on our resort, then headed down the beach to another bar! Lots and lots of fluff about, blokes out numbered 4 to 1! I ended up getting with some swedish bird called Alva, then i fell off my bike and broke it! I'm still on the run from the motorbike man now, ha ha ha! Hes not getting my money, but whats that you say, surely he has your passport? Nah, not me, I managed to swipe it and do a runner lol. He can kiss my ass, thats what he can do!
Anyway, i met up with these other English lads I met in Koh Panghan, we went out, got drunk, the usual bollox! I won't bore you with the details! Couple of nights we played poker in the bar using cocktail sticks as chips. From this Ant has acquired a new nickname, Tony The Turd! He ended up winning most of the money, the scamming b******! One of the best days was when I went snorkelling off shark point with Mial. We saw loads of barracuda and 3 fair sized black tip reef sharks. I was more bothered about the barracuda tho as they have a reputation for being dangerous! I followed one in the water, then it just looked at me and opened its mouth showing all its razor sharp teeth! With that I?quickly got out of its way and went in another direction. The sharks were fine tho, not aggressive at all, very placid and relaxed. That was a really interesting experience as I've never seen sharks in the wild before. Koh Tao is a really picturest island and its ideal if you wanna relax. Its a bit boring tho if your not diving as theres not much else to do, but i'm sure Ant will tell you all about the diving experience. I'm a bit gutted I could'nt do it, I spent too much money pissing up! Maybe some other time tho....
