CELEBRATING OUR 11th BIRTHDAY -- CROATIAN STYLE:

CHRISTIAN:

My Birthday was spent in Dubrovnik. The day started and it was kinda cloudy. A few days beforehand we had to get Birthday presents. Luckily we found a gift shop in Mostar and it had some cool toys. We had to make sure that Dylan didn't see what we were getting him so we said to him " Hey Dylan can you go get us a Coke? " He went and it gave us enough time to get what we needed. Anyways before we woke up our Dad went to get breakfast and cake! He was gone for a little bit but when he came back he had a HUGE chocolate cake!! The thing that you should know about cakes in Croatia is that they are not like American cakes. They are more like pudding and jelly. The top layer is Chocolate and the second layer is cream pudding ( tapioca flavor ). The rest is more of a sponge cake. We had at least 10 presents all together. I was the first one awake so I wanted to open the presents right away!! The only thing was that Dylan wasn't awake but my Mom and Dad were! He slept for another hour but that was ok, I mean it was his birthday after all! When he woke up we got right to the presents. My presents were a package of candy ( from Dylan ), a Pez thingy, A ToonTown Membership ( thanks mom! ), a ticket to the movie HOP ( it was in Croatian ) a rare Lego set, an awesome backgammon and chess board, and bubble gum! Then we had that yummy cake! Warning if you eat Croatian cake, have a glass of milk on stand-by!

Once we were done the presents and cake we went to the Presidents Club Valamar Hotel. We went on this really cool elevator. It was one on a slope so it was sideways! We went swimming for a little bit. The HOP movie was at 5:15 and it was around 2:00 when we got to the pool. After swimming we went into the sauna and steam room. Dylan got a huge burn by the steam room. There was this jet that blasted out REALLY hot steam and Dylan was standing right there as it turned on!!!! He still has the burn right now!

After the pool we went back to the hotel to dry off and go to Old Town for the movie. We took the number 6 bus to Old Town. Once we got there we went to the movie theater. The movie was inside the old city. We watched the movie ( it was in Croatian but it was still good ) and we ate the candy that Dylan gave me. After the movie we got french fries and pizza. Something cool was that they were filming a movie there at that moment! It was called Missing and the main peorson is Ashley Judd. We saw her as we were walking! That scene was about being chased down an alley by a bad guy. After that we went back and chilled for the rest of the day.

I think that having a Bithday in Croatia is very fun and interesting!

DYLAN:
I think that if you go to Croatia for your birthday you will do a lot of things. For my birthday we went swiming at the Presidents Cllub and saw a movie called HOP. It was an awesome movie and it was also my birthday present to Christian. When we went to the Presidents Club to go swiming the first thing I did was go in the steam room naked (in my birthday suit). It was the number one thing that I wanted to do. When we went in the steam room I didn't see that there was a giant pipe that sprayeded out steam so right when I stood next to it it went off and left a giant burn mark. But I'm tough - I'm 11 now - I can handle it!

So, anyways back to the start of the day. Right when I woke up we ate breakfast and got striaght to the presents. YAY. For my presents I got two toy guns, two army guy sets, a drawing pad, colored pencils for the drawing pad, three Kindle books for my Ipad, and a slingshot.

I had a great birthday and I hope to have many many more that are as good as this one!
