Left a sunny Dublin this morning (finally!!) and went through to Kilkenny, a beautiful town with gorgeous scenery and a magnificent castle right on the heart of the town. We went around the town and then ended up in the 'West Bank', an ex bank building, now a magnificent pub, for a snack and a ............ Kilkenny ...... of course!!! I must have needed to drink the local stuff to acquire a taste for these Irish brews !!!! We are now in Waterford and have been ...

Went on a tour today and visited a 1000 year old monastery outside Dublin- just amazing!!! The water for the Guinness Brewery comes from up there in the hills, so of course had to follow it when we got back to Dublin!! So ... Here we are, sitting in Arthur's Bar in the Guinness Brewery, tasting the fresh clear water!!!!! Xx

Arrived in Dublin via Belfast late yesterday evening. Had an easy and interesting crossing on the ferry then a quick look in Belfast. Stumbled out of the coach to cross the road to Robinson's pub for our first real Irish Guinness!! Had a jar, not a gargle!!!! Fantastic!!! Xx
