Here's the Osland group at lunch, minus Bwian. There were too many steps to tackle this morning with the Metro, so he had a lovely leisurely morning around Montparnasse strolling and having cafe latte and watching the world go by!!

Had breakfast at the hotel then tackled the metro to get to Cite station at Notre Dame and attended mass there. It was in the same area of the church where we attended last time, but there was a group from a boys' school there too, so seeing their participation in the liturgy was very interesting. Went to dinner at a group tourist place called 'Monte Carlo'. It was ok, but the view outside when we were leaving was Ooh la la!!! Big day!! Xx

Well ... Arc de Triomphe ceremony was next!! We ordered a wreath for the ceremony and it meant that we were going to lay it on the tomb of the unknown soldier. As it turned out, we needed 3 of us, so Jacinta came to join me in being the wreath carriers, while Anthony got to walk along behind us, because he was the official wreath layer!! Departed from Ypres this morning and set out for Versailles. Did a Palace tour and again were stunned by the obscene display of wealth in times of such great poverty. Went through to the gardens also, where they now have piped music, coordinated to some fountains. Had a picnic lunch and a wander before boarding the coach bound for Paris.
