Sunshine Coast Part 1 We left Brisbane on Saturday 28th Feb for the Sunshine Coast....our camping adventure! First stop was Caloundra (pronounced Calandra!) We caught the local bus to Dicky’s Beach where we had booked a few nights for our tent! The holiday park was perfect...better facilities than lots of hostels!!! A pool, kitchen/bbq area with a fridge, a tv/games room and even free wifi! And of course the added bonus was we were steps away from the beach......

We finally left Surfers Paradise on Tuesday 24th Feb after what felt like much more than 2 half weeks job hunting and enjoying the Gold Coast. Our Greyhound was 2 hours late so we eventually arrived into Brisbane late afternoon. So we left Mission beach and headed back to Cairns...something totally unplanned, but by this point the floods had been officially named one of Australia's biggest natural disasters (and then to make things worse for the country the Victoria bushfires began and is still on going, something I know has made headlines worldwide).
