Right after Paris we took a train to Bern, Switzerland then a small train into
Interlaken. The MOST BEAUTIFUL place you could ever imagine! The lake
in the middle of the town has CRYSTAL CLEAR water and then you
literally get a 360 view of mountains all around you. We thought we
had rservations at a place called Alpenblick... so when we got there
we called them frmo a payphone to figure out the best way to get
there.. (we had booked a campsite), to find out... they dont HAVE
campsites, or a reservation under our name!!! hmmmmm... OK so we got
a room at the Backpackers Villa... a little bit expensive but a REALLY
nice place!! And an AWESOME FREE breakfast buffet! haha you know we
like free food!!! So we went to the local pool which was beautiful and
hung out there for the day. We met some really cool people from New
Zealand (Juzzy and Sierra) and hung out with them for the rest of the
night. It started raining pretty bad and they had this really cool big
van they were living out of while traveling so we hung out in there
and played cranium and cards and Sierra gave Dawson his first dread! We went to a little bar and pumped about 20 euros into the juke box and sang our hearts out for a few hours- so much fun. Queen, Beatles, etc. We had to run back to the hostel in the rain and woke up the next day and headed to the train station. We really wanted to paraglide but it was going to be about 300 a piece so were waiting for machu picchu!
