It was our last day in Granada and we decided to take it easy after the chores of traveler. The laundry was easy enough although David was a bit nervous about taking it on his own. His Spanish hasn't really progressed beyond ordering food and drink. The guy at the lavanderia spoke excellent English and David felt a bit embarresed about getting tongue tried when he tried his Spanish. After missing breakfast yesterday morning, we were determined to have a 'good' breakfast today. 'Good' in this case didn't specifically mean the food, Cafe de las Sonrisas is staffed only by people who are hearing and speech impaired. In a country like Nicaragua (or Central America on the whole), such a disability could lead to a life of begging and therefore a very worthy cause to support. It was an early start and without breakfast, we walked across town to Hotel Con Corazon for our tour to Volcán Mombacho. It was just the two of us so as soon as the guide and transport arrived, we were on the short drive to Mombacho National Park.
