Okay, so the picture is really from Utah, and I am here in Morristown, Tennessee. So what if it doesn;t look like the photo. A boy can dream can't he? Actually, I am heading to Fosco, North Carolins next week for Spring Break. The trip should only take a few hours. This makes me happy because gas and food prices are beyong comprehension these days. I wil probably lay around and watch tv. Skiing is an option too. I've never been before so I may give it a slip and slide.
I did not get to blog at all during my Mardi Gras trip to Mississippi last week. I had a good time. I spent the week sleeping late and visiting with my neice and nephew. I did make a couple of trips to Mobile, AL. My mom and stepdad were on our way to Mobile for the Fat Tuesday parade. We decided at the last minute to eat at Lambert's Cafe in Foley, AL instead. I scarfed down a couple of rolls and ordered fried chicken. The cafe staff carried around pots of macaroni and tomatoes, fried potatoes, black-eyed peas, and fried okra. I don't care for black-eyed peas unless they are of the singing variety.
I decided to stay an extra day. My mom and stepdad went with me to the Flea Market Mobile. If you haven't been, you must visit at once. I love the selection of vinyl albums the vendors carry. There is a stoner there that stocks just about anything you can think of and probably a few you can't.
A tornado touched down in the suburb of Theodore, AL earlier in the week. We passed through the area on the way to the flea market. It was an odd sight. A BP gas station had been torn to its foundations. A couple of other businesses (Food World among them) were also damaged.
Until next week, adieu.
