Wednesday 11 April through to Saturday 14 April 2012: The Grampians area. Dave and I set up our tent at a caravan park in the middle of Halls Gap, a little village right in the middle of the Grampians. It was recommended that we go through a small town called Dartmoor. So the plan for getting to Halls Gap was Dartmoor then whatever back roads that the GPS should choose for the rest of the journey. At Dartmoor they had a row of old Cyprus trees to honour the war dead. The problem came when all the trees began to die. What to do? So in the end after consultation with the families involved, it was decided to get in a chain saw carving artist to cut the trees...

We woke up to a beautiful sunny day in Broken Hill, packed up and got on the road. The trip to Mildura was great then spent the rest of the day at the caravan park catching up on a few things. Yesterday we explored the town and Visitor Information Centre, then off to look at the Muarry River and it's Weir and Lock 11.
