WE ARE HERE!! we arrived safely and were picked up in the airport by ben. we didnt know if he would reconise us but he was holding up a paddlr and we had 2 boats with us. so we were at least pretty obvious.the guys we are working with arrived over the next couple of days and are so nice. two americans and one other brit. one more americam\n is joining us in november.

we have done a little bit of boating and camping around santiago, camping out in the hills and its beautiful but really dusty!! Mark had an epic on the first day and ended up swimming a class 6 siphon!!!! I pulled the short straw of driving the shuttle, turns out it wasnt such a short straw afterall!!! hahahalthough it did mean driving a dodge ram MASSIVE automatic truck which was very scary.

last night we were in a really nice hostel in the centre of santiago becsaue Ben was going to an REM concert, turns out it is a gay hostel. we sat and watched the elections alkl night WOOOHOOOO OBAMA IS IN!! its really cool having two american guys cos they can tell me all about it. I can't get my internet to work which is why i havnt emailed anyone sorry, i will try and find an internet cafe in santiago today and send around some more personal ones.

anyway, im really worried this computer is going to crash so im going to leave writing a longwer one for another day.
