Nambucca Heads was as far as we could push it yesterday after a late start and there wasn't much to choose from. The Blue Dolphin stood out for its dilapidated state and the promise of "million dollar views" more on those in the next posts. Anyway it was a bed and we are now rested for a day of less traveling and more exploring. Getting close to Newcastle but we had to stop at Ularu, it has a playground attached. We've been playing 20 questions and the mystery topic was food. Amaia kept piping up in the back yelling "Mummy, is it cat?" which had us all in tears with laughter. Kids getting ratty in the back now but they get a day off from the car tomorrow while we play with Sam, Evan and Lucas.

Leaving the Sunshine Coast heading towards Newcastle but do is everybody else because school is back in ALD tomorrow. Hopefully the traffic will improve after BrisVegas.

Spent the day fishing and Dan caught a beautiful whiting and the biggest ugliest toadfish Uncle Todd has ever seen pulled out of the Noosa River - he now says he's SN awesome saltwater fisherman.

My little mate Kooka loves lamb chops on the BBQ. After sitting in the back of the chair he shifted to the wind shield on the gas cooker for a closer inspection. We survived the first night but Amaia refused to sleep on her camp bed and crawled in with us making it a tight squeeze - she was warn as toast and didn't budge while we teetered on either edge and drifted in and out of sleep.
