Krabi Town
After my Journey from Ko Phangan to Surattani then up North to Burma for my Visa run then down South Thailand to the West Coast of Krabi I arrived after 23 hours on Buses & Boats to find that everywhere was fully booked in Krabi Town. I have never booked anywhere to stay on my travels as you can just rock up somewhere & normally have a few Hostel options where you can compare prices & check them out but they was literally nothing around & it took me at least another hour walking around with my backpack asking about 50 Hostels if they had any availability so it was a bit fustrating & a long 24 hours, but when I look back now it was so funny.
I eventually got somewhere out of the main town where they had to put a matress down on the floor for Anthony arriving later that night. I took the massive double soft comfy Bed, one of the best - haha. However I deserved it as he just got there after a short ride on a luxury bus from Surattani to Krabi & checked in straight away & he thought it was hilarious that I travelled for so long then couldn't find anywhere to stay the little sod (cant use swear words as mam reads) - haha.
The next day we just hired a Moped out & went to all the nicest Beaches around Krabi & went to Ao Nang Beach which was full of Families but had a nice clear beach with white sand & theses little Monkeys everywhere which was funny watching them knicking everyones food. We also went to Ao Phanang which was basically out off the beaten track & they was only about 5 locals on a massive stretch of secluded white sandy beach for about 2 miles (see pics) with excellent views out to the Limestone cliff Islands. We also went to Nopparat Thara Beach which was where all the Longtail Boat Trips were to get to the Islands & we ended up driving about all day around Krabi & went to some really secluded beaches that had no-one on them & didn't have a name so that was cool. Nearly came off the Bike a few times down the dirt tracks but it was a good adventure.
Krabi is beautiful with Massive Limestone Cliffs everywhere you look so we checked all the Coves & Caves around these aswell then went to this Festival in Krabi Town on the Evening which just had shows, stalls & sold the same crap but was good food. After that we headed to shoot some pool but they was hardly any pubs or anything & nothing to do. The place was deserted so we only stayed there for 1 day 1 night as we heard that Reiley was much better for Beaches / Climbing / Snorkelling etc so we headed there the next day.
