Koh Samui, not the best island, probably the worst ive ever been on, very sleazy, compared to the others in thailand. But like every bad place, it has its good parts! so before you depart for Koh Phangan & their notorious full moon party's hehehe high man ;0) check out 'fisher man's village' stay there infact too! higher bikes or jeep, best way to get around the island! check out the cooler beaches, locals fishing, inner island & its coconut farms, waterfalls, elephants!

from 'Koh Phangan' catch a boat to the island of 'Koh Tao' turtle island, amazing! a diver's paradise, do a weeks 'padi course' that way you get to stay in the associated hotel very cheaply! had its first road built arnd 1999/2000 so should still be very un-developed! check out the 3tiny islands linked via a beach that disappears come high tide! also the best & cheapest pizzas ever from an italian family that moved there permantly after their first visit!
