From Chiang Mai we flew a couple hours south to Phuket where we enjoyed 2 nights at Kata Beach. The highlight of this part of the trip was definitely the Quicksilver Surf Lounge where Aaron spent the afternoon hanging loose on a generator powered swell. Like the good little board wifey I am, I took pics and drank beer while cheering him on. We made quick friends with an English couple which led to a Tower of Chang Beer and had a great dinner with our new pals.

The first thing I will say about Chiang Mai is that I had zero interest in going. Get me to the beach. For those of you that know me well, my new husband included, this comes as little surprise. But from the minute we landed after a hour long fight from Bangkok, I was glad we came. The city's energy is amazing.
