After 18hours on the bus (nightbus) again, we savely arrived in San Pedro de Atacama. In the middle of the desert (Atacama), this town is very touristy but we have heard that already before we came here. Thing is, from here we will need to go to Bolivia, any other way would be too complicated. San Pedro is quite alright, very dusty because of the sand but really hot and sunny everyday! In La Serena we stayed in a lovely hostel run by a german couple. This is the best hostel we have stayed in so far: absolutely clean, great beds, hot water shower (and I mean hot), everything seemed quite new actually. On a Monday afternoon we arrived in sunny and warm Santiago. I guess we were lucky because there was not smog or anything like it. We found a lovely hostel called La Chimba quite central. It was run by an American and very stylish, the right place for us as you can imagine!
