Our rockets turned out to be more like bangers on sticks, they would take off in a random direction and explode at a random time, this one exploded just above our heads, the next took a downward turn and exploded just above the heads of some guys who were partying at the bottom of the stairs leading to the house, who were firing a gun. They were kind enough to assure us that they had enough bullets for all of us if we did it again... Later at the party at the bottom of the hill we were actually bullet dodging when we ended up in the middle of a shoot out between two gangs. Not being able to distinguish between gunfire and fireworks I calmly picked up my rum before realising something was wrong and running for cover. After hiding out for a while we decided to get in the car and go up the hill, only to see two guys get shot a few metres down the road in a drive by. Eventually we all managed to pile into the car and get to higher ground.
