So we reached the port town of Dar Es Salaam. As soon as you come into this town the first thing that comes to mind is "busy", after travelling on such quiet roads for days now, to come across such a place is annoying, had we not left the hustle and bustle behind in London? seemd its a common trait with big cities, still it wasnt for long. We parked up and spent an hour or so here, most of us ranto the nearest internet cafe only to be presented with yet another slow connection.....I dont think broadband has hit many parts of africa yet ;).
After spending some time checking out the shops, internet oh and of course trying yo get money out of various atm machines (this too is proving not so easy) we headed to our campsite. The site was a little drive out of the main centre (thank god) and upon arrival I think most of us were pleasantly surprised. The campsite was located on the shores of the Indian ocean, literally you stepped out of your tent and took a few paces and you were in the water, what a location. Obviously as soon as our tents were up, most of us took FULL advantage of this and went for a splash in the ocean. This had to have been one of the best sites so far it really was a nice place, it kind of got you ready for the Zanzibar experience that was heading our way.
