Haven't been on here in a couple of days so i thought i would check back in.
Since Sydney we have moved over to New Zealand which can only be described as BEAUTIFUL.
We began our trip in the small city of Christchurch which was was a good way to begin. Really quiet and relaxing place to stay.
From here we jumped on the Kiwi Experience mini bus which on day one drove us accross from the east of the south island to the west, travelling through the mountains seeing some wonderful sights along the way.
After about 4 hours of being on the road we arrived at a small village where we met up with our main bus and joined 50 others for the ride.
Our first main stop was a small town called Westport but before we arrived we had the chance to do some Quad biking (which i jumped at the chance to do). It was sooo much fun and got covered in mud - if you come, it's something everybody must do :)
After Quad Biking we headed to Westport where we relaxed in the day and by night we did a 3 legged bar crawl IN THE RAIN. It was alot of fun and a good way meet all people on the bus and have a few cheeky pints.
Day 2 we left at 9am and travelled down to the legendary Poo Pub near Lake Mahinapuha where we met the oldest pub lanlord around named Les.
That evening we enjoyed his very much lived in pub had a home cooked bbq and all got dressed up in costume for the occasion. The theme was "what i want to be when i grow up"
I chose to dress up as a New Zealand (ALL BLACK) pretty much becuase it was the cheapest thing to do. STEVE on the other hand was even more chilled out and chose to dress up as "AN OFFICIAL BEER DRINKER" and bought the t-shirt LITTERALLY to show it.
After a crazy and messy night ended we thought we had the opportunity to sleep it off- How wrong we were!
9am the next morning we were off again this time heading on our way to Franz Josef stopping at some interesting places along the way.
We arrived at Franz Josef yesterday and got the time to relax and enjoy the spa pools in our rainforest retreat!
We all were supposed to be doing our Glacier Walk today but for circumstances out of our control we couldn't and our hike was moved to tomorrow.
From here we are heading down to a small town called Wanaka before arriving on the 15th in Queenstown where i plan to go skiing and do some extreme activities.
Pictures will be added shortly as can'ty be bothered to go ALL THE WAY back to the room to get the camera, but i promise they'll be up soon.
I'll check back in with more info and gossip when in queenstown.
Miss you all!!!
