We spent four nights on Fraser and the first three it rained. Not the ideal weather for a few days on the island but we worked through it. We went to the Eumundi markets on Saturday morning. There were heaps of people around and a lot on offer but we left empty handed. We took the beach route to Rainbow Beach. All was fine in the early parts; it wasn't until the last 10-15 kms that things got interesting. We were directed along a track that would take us into Rainbow Beach however we didn't realise until we were upon it that this track was via another beach and the tide was starting to come in. ...

After packing up at Maroochydore we headed up the Sunshine Coast with a lunch stop in Coolum before setting up camp at a caravan park in Tewantin. From here we explored Booreen Point and stopped for a drink at the old Apollonian Hotel. On arriving in Maroochydore we purchased a tv tuner for our laptop with the intention of watching Liverpool play Arsenal in the first leg of the Champions League quarter finals. This was successful however we weren't able to tune all channels and some worked better than others. I imagine it will continue to be hit and miss where ever we go.

My weekend in Melbourne was very enjoyable but I was glad to hit the road again - it's too soon to be back for good. We left Brisbane after 12 nights at Kris and Shane's and headed into the Sunshine Coast hinterland. We had just the one night at Maleny staying at the show ground/sports grounds.
