Apologies for the lack of updates but been pretty
busy and had a lack of internet access.
Have been staying with Nori on the outskirts of Osaka until yesterday. Spent the first couple of days there sorting some stuff out, hanging out with Nori, meeting some of his friends and exchanging english and japanese drinking games with them, fortunately they are mostly foriegn language students so could make up for my lack of Japanese fluency.
We then spent a really cool day in Kyoto the old capital of Japan, which involved lots of impressive shrines, some beautiful Japanese gardens and my favourite part of the day a walk following a trail walking under thousands of Japanese red gates, through some woods up a mountain, which involved a reasonable amount of adventuring (and getting lost) which made it all the more fun. I also went into Osaka the next day to have a good walk around and saw the imperial castle.
Yesterday I went to Koyasan but I'll fill you in on that in a seperate post another day as there's lots to say about that.
I've travelled back to tokyo today and have 3 more days left in Japan, still got a few things planned but I'll update you on those after they happen.
Thanks to everyone for leaving messages, it's nice to know that you're thinking of me (even if what you're thinking is that I smell - cheers for that dobes):
