Hello,
We have made it to ayers rock!?Its a pritty impressive sight and after 4 days driving on average 400km a day its?still worth the effort!??About 20k away from arys roack is a resort with has everything you could possible want hotels, a caravan park, supermarket, restarants and bars! this was actually quite dissapointing not that i expected to be the only people visiting but i wanted a bit more adventuer and a swimming pool, hot showers and perfect pictuer on the TV takes that adventuer away somewhat. Although after driving 450K in 30 degrees i didn't refuse a dip in the pool!!
Dan and i went to visit the olgas first there is a 7K walk called vally of the winds and wanted to do that before it got to hot.?We actually found the Olgas more impressive than Uluru there genrally bigger and as they are domes not just one roak i thought they were more pleasing to look at. the walk took you to to look outs and involved some scrambling up steep slopes and walking on ruff ground. You were rewarded with some fantastic views as you will see on the pictuers.
We then?went to?Uluru You can walk up the rock but the?Abariganals that own the land ask you not ?to for some reason they don't ban it but it has secred value to them and they really dont like you to so we disidead to walk up! a lot of people still do the walk and 35 people have died atempting to walk up!?we drove round and took some pictuers.
Then we heded over to kings cannoyon this is about 300ks away its a canoyon created millions of years ago. We did a rim walk and down inside where there are water holes the water is trapped in there and has greated a garden of eden which is spectaclar in the middle of the desert!
