A big hello to everyone once more as we head into our final 10 days of our adventure! Our final stop in New Zealand was Auckland the capital of New Zealand. We were very lucky with the weather as the sun came out for our last day. We booked a free bus tour to see the city, but unfortunately we only had the morning to see a bit of the city as we had to catch our flight at 3:00pm. The free bus includes a walk over Auckland bridge, a free bungee jump -also from the bridge and a prize draw - the first prize being a jump from the top of the sky tower (192m high). As all of these activities happened in the afternoon, so we never got to do any of them! Gutted!!
Glad we booked the tour up though, at least we got to see a little bit of the city. Apparently everyone says theres nothing to do in Auckland because everyone thinks theres nothing after Queen Street, which is the main street in town.
We caught our flight back to Sydney in the afternoon and after going all the way to Glebe (The west of Sydney) to pick up our things, we headed back to the city, then had to get a bus to Bondi (the east of Sydney) seeing as we landed at about 6:30pm this was a bit of a nightmare. We finally got to our hostel for 9:30pm and were greeted by the grumpiest bloke in Australia on the reception desk. After trying to flog us off with a twin room with bunk beds, Shell told him she was having none of it and got us a double - well done Shell!!
The hostel is costing us 9 quid each a night - don't think this is good cuz trust me you can tell its 9 quid a night!!
We have four nights here before we travel to Tasmania on yet another flight. Will speak soon guys take it easy x x x Dan and Shell x x x
