We are currently on the road and have been for over a week now. The campervan has been good and we are managing to put up with each other 24/7! We have driven from Melbourne to Phillip Island and then followed the coast up through Victoria into New South Wales and are currently in Coffs Harbour heading towards the Queensland border.
We have done and seen some amazing things along the way and have lots of pictures to add when we get the chance! Some of the highlights include:
1. Going on a dolphin watching cruise in Jervis Bay. We saw a pod of around 30 dolphins swimming alongside the boat. One of them even decided to show off for us and started jumping in and out of the water and playing around the boat.
2. Going to a Chocolate Factory on Phillip Island. We got lots of free samples and at the end got to make our own chocolate and pick the flavours. Carl had white chocolate and strawberry's and I had white chocolate and cola!
3. Going to a Pet Porpoise Pool in Coffs Harbour where I got to play catch with a dolphin, stroke and pet a dolphin and got a kiss on the cheek from a dolphin and a seal. Carl also got to feed some Blue Penguins.
4. Getting to hand feed kangaroos, wallabies and a deer that lived with the kangaroos and thought he was a kangeroo! Also getting to stroke a Koala.
We still have lots more Kilometres to go before reaching Coolangatta (not to mention then getting back to Melbourne!!). Will keep you up dated as and when we can and will add pictures soon.
