hey everyone good to hear from u. well can't remember where i got to so will just start from where i can remember. have been on a whale whatch where we got to see 4 whales loads of dolphins and some seals so that was pretty cool. we then headed down to the Franz Josef glacier and booked a trip to do a hike on it. i tell u what that is probably the most surreal experience ever!! we had clampons on and everything. first we had to hike up loads of ice steps and cross really thin bridges and then just hike up the ice, climbing through crevices was so weird. the ice was so blue and so cold but we were surrounded by loads of greenery and it just looked so out of place i felt like the little men out of lord of the rings. and then we had our lunch sat in the middle of a cold glacier was an exhilirating experience and when we got down u just felt a sense of achievement. have been aching for the last few days mind. we are now in lake wanaka again loads of really amazing views. have been doing a bit more driving and it is getting a bit easier but they like there one lane bridges, and one i had to drive through the other day was the same bridge as the train goes along so it was literally close ur eyes and hope for the best. i am getting a bit depressed about my birthday so we decided to fix that by booking a sky dive so thursday we will be jumping out of a plane - no problem, piece of cake. yeah right am terrified but keeps u mind away from getting a year older. will let u know how it goes and if i am in one piece.
