Today was spent exploring the Connamara region, lots of green rolling hills, many smaller lakes and bog areas where apparently peat comes from (what a lot of people burn for heat). Finally made it to Galway and pretty much crashed the minute I got there, but up and about this morning! Booked a tour to the Aran Islands, in particular Inishmoor. Tarifa, while stunning, is windy as all get out! The little winding streets around our hostal cut the wind a fair bit, and there are quite a few cute shops. I see some shopping in the near future! We got to wake up in a beautiful old room on a comfy mattress today. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant last night and it was incredible. We started with grilled vegetables with local goat cheese melted on to, and for mains I had a local specialty, braised oxtail, while Mum had lamb....also very yummy.
