Here we are at the last stop of our round-the-world trip, Bangkok.
Our short stop in Singapore was really good, it's a very clean and efficient city with amazing shopping (although at the end of 3 months away we haven't really got anything left to spend!) We went to the night safari, which was cool, where we got to see lots of animals, some doing what they do naturally at night and others doing disctinctly unnatural things (otters doing recycling!?!?!)
Thailand's been great too, but totally different to the laid back feeling of Australia. Bangkok is mad, unbelievably busy with traffic and people all the time. The Thai people we've met though have been really friendly and welcoming. Today we went on a tour of the Buddhist temples with a trip on the canal in a long boat. It was really good but ended up, as all tours in Bangkok apparently do, with a statutory visit to the Government-run gem factory. Being a girl, Jude couldn't resist purchasing a bit of bling!
We fly home tomorrow and we've both got a strange mix of feelings of sadness that the three months has gone so quickly, but also looking forward to being back and catching up with everyone (and for Craig, getting back to Sky Sports!)
