After my not so good trip to Uruguay, I returned to Buenos Aires. I took an extremely nice 20 hour bus journey from BA to Puerto Iguazú. My chair reclined to almost 162.5º, there was in-bus entertainment (A night at the Museum...in ridiculously dubbed Spanish!) and 3 meals with alcohol. Well, talk about impressive. If there´s one thing that I´ve learnt from travelling, it is to enjoy these little luxuries. They surely weren´t so sweet in Brazil!
I arrived late morning in Puerto Iguaza, remarkable awake and taken to the hostel to start my tour some 50 minutes later. The hostel was beutiful, all palm tree-esque with a swimming pool outside. It made a nice change from the urban dwellings of Buenos Aires. My first day of the tour consisted of me visiting the Brazilian side of Iguaza Falls. Iguaza Falls can be seen from two countries, Argentina and Brazil. It strands both borders and the largest waterfall in the world. Words can not describe how amazing these falls our. The sheer colosal size of them are breathtaking. On the second day, I was taken to the Argentinian side which differs from the Brazilian side in that you get more of an opportunity to be within the falls, with the walk ways taking you to the centre of the falls and I had the opportunity to take a boat out to right beneath one of the falls. Wearing only my bikini, a top and my life jacket we were speed boated right into the middle. Now that was scary.... but so pleasurable at the same time. Trully an amazing experience.
